Second appointment with Mechanics of the Mind in the Free Mind Foundry Agora
The training course designed for the inhabitants of the Campus includes 11 appointments during which the 5 macro-themes on which the project is based will be explored in depth: The basics of the Mechanics of the Mind; MdM for themselves; Personal or professional relationships; mental processes in the Digital & Technology sector; the applications of the Mechanics of the Mind in Marketing & Communication.
In fact, each meeting will have a specific focus on one of these 5 topics and will be made up of a set of micro-themes that illustrate different facets of each topic. The training sessions are convivial and relaxed, and require active participation of those present, who have the opportunity to range between the desired topics and request future in-depth sessions.

The Meccanica della Mente team, with the collaboration of our HR team, has proposed an unconventional and collaborative training project composed of sequential teaching blocks thanks to which each participant will have the opportunity to express their preference regarding the specific themes of each meeting. In this way the training experience is felt and shared, experienced internally in the literal sense of the term and designed like a tailor-made dress based on the needs of the participants, free to delve into the aspects most relevant to them also based on their experience, their role in the company, in their family life or simply in their everyday life.
MdM per se stessi
On the occasion of the second training session, Giovanni Gibiino, founder and popularizer of Mechanics of the Mind together with Anna Cacopardo, Co-Founder and General Manager of MdM, welcomed the new participants, explaining why MdM can be considered an "instruction manual of the mind".
“MdM for oneself” was the macro theme of the meeting, during which the basics of the functioning of our mind at a neuroscientific level were first introduced, and then some ways of reacting to events that disturb our certainties were illustrated, talking about the function of values and emotions.
Time management and stock market investments
The stock market, historically, is the one that is capable of generating the greatest wealth, but such wealth is often realized over a long period of time. For this reason patience and trust are required, it is necessary to be able to resist the emotions of the moment and have the courage to follow one's own path even if everything at a given moment seems not to be going right.
Managing your time can be understood in the same way. It is useful to stop, plan and reflect, even if in the short term these actions may seem like a waste of the same time that we would like to optimize. Losing time now to make up for time tomorrow is what we should do, but a lot of work on our emotions is necessary to manage this "loss" in the here and now.
“Mindset”: the mental attitude with which we interpret what surrounds us
The concept of "Mindset" was presented as the set of thoughts and intellectual processes relating to the way of perceiving external inputs and which defines the attitude generated in response to such inputs.
It was a particularly engaging moment that led the people present to ask themselves: "how do I interpret the stimuli I come into contact with?" and “how do I react to good news when I have a negative mindset?”.
The answer to these questions is soon explained. A mindset is a temporary predisposition that is generated very often during the first moments of the day and depends on different factors such as the quality of sleep, interactions and constant thoughts. News is unlikely to be able to change our mindset as it is often the result of a continuous reworking of our thoughts. To guide our mind towards a positive and proactive mindset, orientation towards change and long-term vision can be elements capable of generating positive effects on our habits.
We thank the entire Mechanics of the Mind Team for being at our side in achieving such an ambitious goal: personal enrichment and the achievement of a balance that brings benefits to ourselves and to the people who are in different ways part of our lives.
At Free Mind Foundry we have always encouraged Campus residents to invest in their education, so that they can live and work better within a healthy and stimulating environment.
