Free Mind Foundry is pleased to officially welcome Made Simple, an innovative startup aimed at digitizing and, as the name itself suggests, simplifying construction site management.
Founded in 2016 by Gregorio Russo CEO, Giuseppe Monforte COO and Armando Marra CTO, and made up of an extraordinary team of engineers and IT experts, Made Simple creates Site Assistant™, a cloud platform for construction site management and facility management.
The present and the future at your fingertips
The idea was born from the real need of the partners when, in 2015, Gregorio and Giuseppe, both engineers with years of experience in the construction sector, found themselves managing particularly challenging construction sites. It was precisely at that moment that they realized that the tools available were inadequate to collect the huge amount of information to be recorded on the construction site, causing waste of time, inaccuracy of the data collected and general disorganization. This is how Site Assistant™ was born, a cloud software for the construction site that allows you to collect data, documents and all construction site information in a single device, share them with the actors involved in the project, speed up the production of reports (work progress status, work journal, etc.) and highlight any non-conformities. A valid solution aimed at professional figures such as surveyors, architects, engineers, small, medium and large construction companies.
Roadmap: embrace the future
The turning point of 2016 led Made Simple to stand out in the following year in various competitions across the country, including Start Cup Catania, TIM#WCAP, Next Energy and Open Italy. On these occasions, the start-up had the opportunity to present Site Assistant on important stages in the presence of important stakeholders who believed and decided to invest in the project. In particular, on the occasion of these events, two major collaborations were born, such as those with Terna and Eni. Terna Plus, a subsection of Terna, asked Made Simple to customize Site Assistant™ to make it usable for the management of their power lines, giving rise to a collaboration that still exists and is of value today. With Eni the path was similar, having customized Site Assistant™ ad hoc for the management of construction sites established thanks to the initiative relating to the 110% Superbonus. In the same years the startup's path crossed that of Simone Massaro, CEO of Bax Energy and founder of Free Mind Foundry, as well as new shareholder of Made Simple since 2020. The entry into Free Mind Foundry, the International Cooperation Center for technological research and higher education, proved decisive for the subsequent developments of Site Assistant™, providing the Made Simple team with the tools in terms of assets and skills necessary for the evolution of the project.
Today Made Simple is preparing for the launch of the first version of Site Assistant™ planned for June 2022. The app will have limited functionality compared to its actual potential and future developments. It is in the second release, expected in October, that Site Assistant™ will show its competitive advantage on the market, offering a wide range of features divided into four versions: free, standard, premium and enterprise.
"We foresee a future full of challenges, which will allow us to grow and position ourselves on the market. After all, our goal is to create the best software for construction and facility management. A very ambitious vision, but why not? Let's aim high." – says Gregorio Russo, CEO of Made Simple.
“This is the place”
This is what the Made Simple members said to themselves as soon as they crossed the threshold of FMF, choosing our Hub as their home and hotbed of ideas.
“Free Mind Foundry is the ideal place to develop and grow ideas and projects, as a contaminating environment, a source of inspiration and which offers international networking opportunities.” – declares Giuseppe Monforte, COO of Made Simple.
