Free Mind Foundry welcomes Autentico, the innovative SME that uses advanced digital technologies to certify the authenticity of a product.
It is a company with high growth potential that has chosen the FMF Campus as the main operational center to develop its business.
Autentico was founded in 2015 with the mission of defending Made in Italy products from counterfeiting and smuggling. Thanks to the use of innovative technologies based on NFC and RFID, the company has developed logistics control and management platforms, which are used in varied fields of the Italian production sector such as Food & Beverage and fashion.
The idea was born from CEO and founder Diego Lai, who intercepted the need of Italian agri-food, Food & Wine, retail and large-scale distribution companies to address problems relating to counterfeiting, parallel markets and logistical control.
Italy, in fact, has always been a guarantee of excellence, which is why for many years the local production companies have been the victim of illicit activities such as falsification and uncontrolled distribution which, in addition to causing financial consequences, have a negative impact from the point of view of image and brand reputation.
Thanks to the experience acquired in the field of software development and industrial automation, the Autentico team has identified RFID and NFC technologies as the right tools to solve these problems, and has designed solutions capable of controlling the entire production chain and keeping track of product distribution.
Autentico solutions
The protection of Made in Italy is a mission that has always guided Autentico's work. To address the above-mentioned critical issues, the innovative SME has launched two platforms on the market: Autentico NFC and Autentico Chain.
Authentic NFC is aimed at anti-counterfeiting and distribution control. This solution allows, in fact, to locate every single unit around the world through the affixing of electronic labels equipped with NFC Tags which can be scanned by bringing an iOS or Android device close to it. This action has a dual purpose: to provide the detail sheet to the consumer and to send the geographical data to the company, which will thus be able to verify the congruence of the reading position with that of the sales market for which the bottle was intended.
Autentico Chain aims to manage the production chain and logistics through the use of RFID Tags. This platform requires the use of special machinery designed to read RFID Tags. These machines are made and supplied by Autentico and consist of labelers, weighers, HF/UHF tunnels and gates. The preparation of a packaging infrastructure of this type allows the monitoring of order fulfillment processes.
